After 5 minutes plug the ethernet cable back in and plug the router power cable back in. Sometimes the modems are touchy about assigning an IP to the router and just being patient and retrying works. I have a Spectrum Ubee modem that won't just reconnect if it loses power, waiting for the modem to be fully powered and connected to the internet

Setting the Ubee wireless modem to Bridge/Router mode
Replaced thew Time-Warner Ubee modem and my Belkin wi-Wi Router with this one unit. Even though not a Time-Warner supplied unit, their tech support was great in helping me get it set up properly, by renaming the connection ID and password. Works great. Use it with my laptop, smart phones and tablet at the same time, no problems. Great unit.
